Letters From God–Book of Ephesians 5:21-33

My child, I want to speak with you about the relationship between a husband and a wife.  The wife is to yield to her own husband as unto the Lord.  The husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church.  As the church is subject unto Christ, so the wife is to be subject to her own husband in every thing.  The husband is to love his wife even as Christ also loved the church.  Jesus sacrificed himself for the church and the husband is to sacrifice himself for his wife.  As Jesus looked to the welfare of the church before his own, the husband is to do the same for his wife.  Christ gave himself for the church that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.  Therefore the goal of the husband’s self-sacrificing love is to see that the wife becomes all she can be then she will be what is best for him.  He that loves his wife in this way loves himself.  Child, The husband is to nourish his wife; that is to see to her needs.  He is to cherish his wife; that is to highly value her and take good care of her even as the Lord does the church.  All Christians are members of the body of Christ, of his flesh, and of his bones.  For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.  This is a great mystery concerning Christ and the church.  Let every husband love his wife even as himself, and the wife see that she loves and respects her husband.  Ephesians 5:21-33
