Jesus’ Kingdom

John 18:36–My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

My kingdom is not of this world–Jesus’ kingdom is not given to Him by this world nor is it of this world.  The world didn’t give it to Him and the world can not take it away.  It exists along with this world and operates within this world. His kingdom is not physical but spiritual.  It requires that a person be born again (born of the Spirit) to be a part of His kingdom.  When we are born again we become citizens of His kingdom which is a heavenly kingdom.  “Our citizenship is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: who shall change our vile body that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body” (Philippians 3:20-21).  He has gone to prepare for us a place and is coming again to receive us to Himself that where He is there we will be also (John 14:3).
