Living By Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7–Walk by faith, not by sight.

We are to live our lives in faith.  To walk by sight is to walk in the physical realm.  To walk by faith is to walk with God in the spiritual realm.  “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).  Faith is spiritual substance, the real or essential part of things hoped for. Faith is spiritual evidence or proof of things unseen.  “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain” (Hebrews 11:4).  Therefore faith leads to more excellent worship.  “Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).  “He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).  Our worship is to be done in faith.  And when we worship in faith God is our rewarder. He rewards us with an awareness of His presence, an uplifting of our spirit, a renewing of our mind, and a transforming of our lives.
