Letters From God–Book of 1 Peter 2:13-25

My child, I have ordained that there would be authorities and powers in the world.  Therefore obey every ordinance of man because I require it: whether it is to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those that do well.  This is My will, so that with well doing you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.  Do this as those that are free and not using your freedom for a cloak in order to hide any wrong doing, but obeying Me, as My servant.

Child, Show respect unto everyone.  Love your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.  Love and respect Me in all you do.  Respect those who are in positions of authority over you.  Servants, obey your masters with all fear not only to the good and gentle, but also to those who prove by their actions to be harsh or unjust.  For if for conscience toward Me you endure grief, suffering wrongfully it will not go unnoticed by Me.  Do not allow their wrong to control your behavior.  For what glory is there if when you are punished it is because of your wrongdoing even when you take it patiently?  But if, when you do well and suffer for it and you take it patiently, this is acceptable with Me.  This is required behavior for all who have become a new creature in Christ Jesus: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow his steps.  He did no sin, neither was any deceit or hypocrisy spoken by him.  When he was reviled, he did not speak harshly to them; when he suffered, he did not threaten them, but committed himself to Me who judges correctly.  He himself bore your sins in his own body on the cross that you, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were spiritually healed: the wages of sin having been paid.  You was as a sheep going astray and going your own way, but are now returned unto Jesus Christ, the Shepherd and overseer of your soul.  1 Peter 2:13-25
