Loving God with All Your Heart

Mark 12:30: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart.”
What is your level of devotion to God? How much of your time is given to God? How much does God’s word and will determine your actions? How much of your time is given to things that will not enhance your relationship with God nor make you spiritually productive? The way to determine this is by examining what occupies your time and what motivates your actions.
What do you treasure most? Matthew 6:21: “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” The heart loves what it treasures. Examine what your heart treasures. What are you willing to give up, to have a relationship with Jesus? For the heart to love Jesus completely, it must treasure Him supremely.
Philippians 3:8: “I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ.” What did Paul give up for experiencing the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus? Does having an up-close and personal relationship with Christ stir your heart? Is it something that you hunger and thirst for?
