Consider One Another

Hebrews 10:24 “Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.”
**************************************
Let us consider each other.  God desires for us to be mindful of each other. We Christians, being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members one of another.” (Romans 12:5). We are to ever be thinking about the other members of the body of Christ with a purpose in mind. We have a responsibility to our brothers and sisters in Christ. We are to interact with each other to see that God’s word and will is carried out in the body of Christ and through the body of Christ.
To provoke unto love and to good works:
1. We are to stir each other up to the experience and demonstration of love. Love is the greatest characteristic of the Christian for in the feeling of it and the demonstration of it we fulfill all the law. “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Galatians 5:14). There are times when circumstances arise that would hinder love in a fellow Christians life and God says we are to step in and stir them up through our words and council to love despite the circumstances.
2. We are to stir each other up to good works. Love and good works go together. Good works are love in action. The Bible says, “Faith without works is dead?” (James 2:20). Love without good works is a cold and/or dead love. Evil would hinder the expression of love in good works. “Be not overcome of evil but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21). Love and good works will keep us from being overcome of evil and are the answer to overcoming that evil. Therefore, we are to be constant in stirring each other up to love and to do good works. “Let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed, and in truth.” (1 John 3:18).
