Learning To Walk–Part 6

Ephesians 2:10We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Walking worthy of the Lord: We are to live our life in a way that expresses our esteem for the Lord. We are to live in a way that expresses how important the Lord is to us and how much we value our relationship with Him. Our life should also be an expression of our thankfulness for all that he has done for us. To do this we must walk in Good Works.

Walk in Good Works:
Ephesians 2:10 We see three things here.
First–We are God’s workmanship. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves.
Second–God created us–in Christ Jesus–unto good works. He created us with purpose and planning.
Third–God before ordained that we should walk in these good works.

Matthew 5:16:Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”. We are the light of the world. Our light shines as we walk in good works, others see our good works, and we bring glory to our Father in heaven.
John 15:8Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so, shall ye be my disciples”. Good works are thoughts, words, and deeds that manifest the characteristics of the new life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17:All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Titus 2:14: He gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Hebrews 10:24:And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.
