With God, All Things Are Possible

Matthew 19:26: “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

With men this is impossible: Jesus was talking about being saved. Men can not save themselves. The word saved means to be rescued, delivered, or redeemed from sin which all speak of someone else doing the saving. It requires more than we mortals can do. There are many things that are impossible for us. We need God’s presence and help in dealing with these things in our lives.

With God all things are possible: God is omnipotent. He has all power. Is that which is created greater than the creator? God created this world, oversees everything in the world, and can control whatever comes our way. He is omniscient. He knows all things. He knows everything about every situation we have to deal with and he knows how to overcome whatever we face. He has all the answers and all the power we need. He is omnipresent. He is present in all places at the same time while we can only be in one place. “What shall we then say to these things; If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
