God’s Universal Salvation

1 Timothy 2:3-4: “God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

God our Savior: We have already come unto the knowledge of the truth and have been saved. God is our Savior.

Would have all men to be saved: This is the all inclusive will of God. His salvation is universal. It is for everyone. When we get to heaven we will rejoice and worship God. We shall proclaim, “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation” (Revelation 5:9). The saved will be out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.

Would have all men to come unto the knowledge of the truth: This truth is the gospel. It includes man’s lost condition in sin, God’s love for them, Him sending His Son Jesus Christ, Jesus dying to pay the wages of our sin, His resurrection and His coming again. God wants everyone to be saved. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). Will you be saved today?

God’s Plan For Salvation:

  1. “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
  2. “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
  3. “God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
  4. “If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved” (Romans 10:9

Will you be saved today? The choice is yours.
