God’s Love For Us

Romans 8:35: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”
Romans 8:38-39: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord or the love of Christ Himself. None of the things mentioned in the scriptures above can separate us from God’s love. These include things that are visible and invisible. They include physical things and beings and spiritual beings.

God wants us to know this. He wants us to know that we are secure in His love. He wants us “to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge” (Ephesians 3:19). This very “love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Romans 5:5). If we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, He will reveal to us God’s love for us.

More than conquerors: Because of His love and watch care over us, He makes sure that we are more than conquerors when we have to deal with these things and beings (Romans 8:37).

“Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57).
