Trust In The Lord

Psalms 118:8: “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”

It is not wrong to put trust in man: However, we must be ever mindful of the limitations of man. People will often let us down. They will not follow through with what we need or with what they promise. They can become distracted and go off on tangents. Their priorities may not be in line with our priorities.

It is better to trust in the Lord: The Lord is with us always. He is ever present. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalms 46:1). The Lord is all powerful and nothing is impossible with God. He has no limitations. He is all knowing, having all knowledge and wisdom. He knows what to do and how to go about it. He will follow through and not let us down. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
