Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand

Matthew 3:2 “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand.”

Repentance: Repentance occurs when a person feels a Godly sorrow that produces a change in our thinking and acting and prepares us to be reconciled to God, to enter the Kingdom of God and to walk in fellowship with Him.

True repentance will result in a belief in the gospel, being baptized, and living a life that is in accordance with God’s word and His will.

John 3:3 “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” You must be born again.

The path to being born again:
Realize that Jesus died on the cross to receive the punishment of your sins. Believe in Him and His death and resurrection. Realize that you can’t save yourself. We are “saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves” (Ephesians 2:8).
2. Repent of your sins and self effort and turn to God.
3. Pray and receive the gift of God’s grace.
